Tip of the Week

Use Your Time Wisely

As a child, leap year baffled me. Every four years – for no particular reason at all – we get a whole extra day. Just like that? I wished desperately that I had been born on February 29th. It would have been so cool to tell my friends I was only two years old.

As an adult, the day holds more significance. I can’t remember the last time I didn’t wish for more time. Time to do the laundry, to wash the dishes, or hit the snooze button. Time to plan a vacation, to go on an adventure, or – better yet! – just take a shower.

At the beginning of the day, we all get the exact same amount of time.

And at the end of the day, we lose it.

But every four years, we get a freebie.

On February 29th there will still be bills and tantrums and worries. But let’s make a special effort to focus on the positive. A whole extra day. Just like that. Will you end the day better than you started? Or will it be like any other day?

Although our time is limited, it holds limitless potential. There’s always time to let go of the past and embrace a more abundant future.
