TEC Practitioner Spotlight: Carla van Voorst
Energy healing has been making waves the world wide, and The Emotion Code practitioners are at the front of this global movement. This week we would like to highlight the wonderful work of New Zealand Emotion Code practitioner Carla van Voorst in our Featured Practitioner Spotlight. Below you will find a short interview we had with Carla that includes her must read healing story with her sister, and all you need to contact her for a session, or to just to say hi.
How long have you been practicing The Emotion Code (TEC)?
Almost 1 & 1/2 years
How do you think The Emotion Code compares to other energy healing modalities?
I love how TEC is interactive with the client. With most energy healing modalities the practitioner does all the work and the client often doesn't even know what is going on. With TEC the client has a practical and active role in the healing session.
What suggestions would you give to those that are new to practicing TEC?
Switch off your analytical mind and Trust whatever comes up! Even if the client doesn't immediately connect with an emotion, let things flow.. the answers always come.
Do you have any advice for people just starting to use The Emotion Code?
Again, go with the flow. Don't be too forceful with it. When you notice an uncomfortable situation in your life, an ache or pain, anger or sadness turn to TEC and let it guide you through it. Any uncomfortable situations in your life (even if somebody really stresses you out or upsets you) are simply signs from the subconscious mind that there is something ready to be released.
Do you have a healing story using TEC that you could tell us about?
From the start I have worked with both TEC and The Body Code, so for me the two go hand in hand. Saying that, most imbalances identified through the Body Code stem from Trapped Emotions, so most of the time we end up with TEC.
My sister lives in Australia and so I mainly communicate with her through Skype. She'd been battling her weight for years now and had gone from one diet to the next with no great results. So she asked me to work with her and find out what was going on deeper.
We had several session and cleared a lot of Trapped Emotions as well as her Heart Wall. My sister had never been one for exercise, she had a major resistance to that. After a few weeks suddenly she had the 'urge' to exercise. She started boxing sessions with her friends, joined a gym and even bought a treadmill. She started eating healthy because she wanted to NOT because she had to and over a six month period she lost 20kgs. Her outlook on life has changed, she is happy and proud of herself and she's become a different woman. Her weight 'body armour' was simply protection from a whole lot of emotional issues - once released it was safe for her to loose the weight and therefore her subconscious mind 'allowed' her to release it.
Where do you see the future of energy medicine headed?
I have a huge respect for modern medicine - without it I wouldn't be alive today being a cancer survivor. However, it is my belief that issues in our lives that cause uncomfortableness, like cancer, depression, pain etc are simply signs from our subconscious mind that there are deeper things to deal with. If we listen to the signs early enough and use Energy Medicine we can 'heal' ourselves before it gets to a critical survival stage. Somebody told me a great saying the other day: "Once I get the lesson, I no longer need the experience'. Listen to the signs of your body and mind, learn the lesson by using Energy Healing and the experience can dissolve.
