My mother was going to have cataract surgery, so I offered to clear her emotions throughout the surgery. She was going to be awake and was quite terrified.

I began clearing her before she got out of bed, all the way through the surgery. It was quite the flood of anxiety, fear, crying, terror, etc. I knew the surgery had ended when the emotions quite abruptly stopped coming. I imagined that she was having a horrific event, based off the emotions I was seeing. When I spoke to her later, she said she was completely calm and it was no big deal at all.

I decided I had flung the emotions away as fast as her subconscious could create them. Her conscious mind never had time to connect with them.
